Eligibility for NDIS Support services is determined by the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA). You can check your eligibility by contacting the NDIA directly or visiting their website for more information.

  • Age requirements: Are you aged between 7 and 65?
  • Residence requirements: Are you an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or Protected Special Category Visa holder? And you must live in Australia.
  • Disability requirements: Do you have a disability caused by a permanent impairment? Do you usually need disability-specific supports to complete daily life activities?
  • Early intervention requirements: Do you need some supports now to reduce your future need for support? Do you need some supports now for your family to build their skills to help you?

 

The NDIS is not means-tested and has no impact on your Disability Support Pension (DSP).

The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) is a federally appointed organisation that manages the administration of all NDIS funding. They are funded by the Department of Social Services (DSS).
